Arnee Macdowell approached us to help reposition his existing IT support business, Mackshop. After several years working with Gold Coast businesses, he had pinpointed a desire to work predominantly within the creative sector with an emphasis on Apple products.
Harmonica were briefed to create a new brand that better reflected Arnee’s personality whilst also attracting the creative clients he was most passionate about working with.
Following discussions, we began by proposing a change of name. It was felt ‘Mackshop’ was confusing to clients and didn’t accurately reflect the service on offer. As the best possible brand ambassador, the new name ‘Arnee Mac’ puts Arnee at the heart of the brand whilst referencing all things Apple.
Inspired by Apple’s heritage we created a simple monospaced wordmark which gives the brand a contemporary, ‘techy’ aesthetic without feeling cliché. A custom bespectacled Macintosh icon was also created to accompany the wordmark.
Influenced by the iconic ‘Rainbow Apple’ logo the brand utilises bright and bold colours to create a vibrant, eye-catching visual style that will appeal to the desired market.
