The challenge

Developed by Ironman Champion Zane Holmes in 2011, Wave Warriors is a junior surf lifesaving event series for U9-U15 age groups. The award winning events are renowned for being the most enjoyable competitions on the Australian surf lifesaving calendar and are the only junior events that cater to entries from anywhere in the country.

The strategy

Listening to the requirements of the Wave Warriors team, we created event branding and marketing materials to appeal to their 8-15 year old demographic. The logo features an interpretation of Poseidon, God of the Sea, and accounts for the inclusion of the naming rights sponsor – currently Medibank Private. Harmonica worked with the Wave Warriors team to ensure event staging reflected the fun yet competitive nature of the series.

Harmonica completely nailed our logo and look. It’s great to work with people who listen to what a company is trying to achieve.
